Publishing Ethics

When it comes to publishing ethics, Phenomenal Literature observes the guidelines postulated and recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal and all members of its team emphasize on the following points and themes for upholding its quality and exemplary publishing ethics:-

1. To feel accountable for everything published in the journal.

2. To assess the quality of the material the journal accepts and also perform corrections and clarifications whenever and wherever required.

3. To execute the duties and responsibility in unbiased and fair manner. Thus we refrain from doing discrimination on grounds of gender, ethnicity, secular or political beliefs.

4. To provide guidance to authors and reviewers when they require our assistance and expertise.

5. To ensure that journal’s editors accomplish their duties and responsibilities without facing any interference from the journal’s publisher. The former are given full liberty on making the decisions on which articles and creative works to be selected for publication based on quality and suitability for the journal.

6. To treat all manuscripts confidential during the processes of double blind peer-review.

7. To ensure that commercial considerations do not affect editorial assessments and quality of the journal.

8. To avert the situation arising out of suspected misconduct, plagiarism or disputed authorship.

9. To facilitate a viable mechanism for authors to appeal against editorial decisions.

10. To keep the editorial board members updated on new policies, guidelines and developments.

11. To avoid plagiarism, authors need to declare that all work in their submitted piece is original, and contents are cited appropriately from other sources.

12. To ensure from authors that their contribution does not contain any libellous matter or infringe any copyright.

13. To find out any conflicts of interest pertaining to a specific article, creative work or author.

14. To make sure that all issues of the journal are coming out in time.
